Care and Uses of Freeze Dried Flowers

The key enemies of preserved flora are UV light & moisture. Keep these two at bay & you can keep your freeze dried flowers looking fresh & vigorous for years & years.

The best possible way to maintain the originality of your keepsakes (bridal bouquets or memorial flowers) is to encase them in a display case, cabinet or box frame. We have some examples of these here.

The worst possible place to keep them would be in an oft used bathroom, on the window ledge, although we know of a spray of our white freeze dried roses that a customer has kept in just that position for many months. The white has senesced to a beautiful antiqued cream, but the effect is as glorious as ever! We have also kept King Protea in dreadful conditions just to see what happens. They are the best, along with Pin Cushion Protea, of the freeze dried protea results and keep their colour & form for a long, long time seemingly untouched by time!
